Martin J Clarke - Lead Pastor
Martin is married to Lynsey and they have two children, Bethany and Jacob.
He came to Aberdeen in 1998 to study computing, but God had a different plan and Martin changed degree to theology in his first week! Martin served as Youth & Worship Pastor at IBC, then spent a few years working with inter-church ministry, Souled Out before being called to help launch Hillview Community Church.
Martin enjoys photography, design and music; is known as something of a tech fan (er, geek!), and is a massive Liverpool supporter.
More than any of that, alongside being a husband and a father, Martin is passionate about the local church, eagerly desiring that it journeys forward with great vibrancy and authenticity; deeply rooted in the Scriptures and shaping all aspects of ministry around the beauty and wonder of the gospel.

Andy Hayes - Outreach & Families Pastor
Andy’s life is profoundly shaped by his relationship with Jesus; coming to faith as a young boy whilst living amongst the tribal peoples of Papua and seeing first hand the incredible power of God to change lives and even culture for good, has led to a lifelong passion for living and sharing the news of Jesus.
Formerly a consultant marine / integrity engineer with 14 years experience in the oil industry in Aberdeen, Andy has been serving as pastor since 2004; seeking to be led more by Jesus, to lead more like Jesus, to lead more to Jesus.
Andy & his wife Laura have been married for near on 20 years and have three children - Elspeth, Joel and Esther. Together the family regularly foster babies and toddlers which leads to a busy and at times noisy household!
When he gets a moment, Andy enjoys reading, fixing things, watching movies, taking pictures and virtually anything that lets him outside; birdwatching, gardening, hillwalking, kayaking...
Colin Ross - Elder
Colin is one of our lay elders, although sometimes he feels like he has two full time jobs! He works for a Leadership Development company, is married to Lynsey (a different one from Martin!) and has two young sons, Kyle and Jonah.
Among a number of elder responsibilities, Colin leads Hillview’s Youth Programme and is actively involved in the worship band.
Colin is a passionate guy. Passionate about his family, about seeing young people grow in faith, men’s ministry, snowboarding and watching baseball!
Jim Wilson - Elder
Jim and his wife Agnes moved from Lanarkshire to Bieldside in 1969 and in the period since then, Jim has served as an elder in two independent churches for a considerable number of years before coming to Hillview. Both Jim and Agnes came to know the Lord early in their lives having had the privilege of being brought up in Christian homes.
For many years, Jim was involved in various businesses and is still employed on a very part-time basis.
They have a daughter who lives locally and a son in the USA but their immediate family now extends to four generations with the recent arrival of their first great-grandson. Recently Jim and Agnes celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Church has been a huge part of their lives and they continue to have an ‘open home’ which means they are busy serving God and His people.
